Ministry of Planning discusses with the German Development Bank government priorities within the private sector and projects funded by the German side

The Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Planning held a meeting with the German Development Bank (KFW), represented by the country director and his accompanying team, which comes within the joint cooperation between Iraq and donor countries, and a follow-up to international commitments with donors, headed by its Director General, Dr. Saher Abdul Kazem Mahdi, who explained: This meeting came to discuss government priorities within the private sector, projects funded by the German side, and the challenges facing the financing sector for small and individual projects. He pointed out that there is a development gap within the Microfinance for small projects despite the government’s relentless initiatives in this field.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Department of Economic and Financial Policies, Dr. Sabah Jundi Mansour, and a number of employees of the concerned departments.
