The Ministry of Planning held a joint meeting with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on Thursday. The draft framework of the organization was reviewed and aligned with the government’s priorities.
The meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, Dr. Maher Hammad Johan. The meeting included the discussion of the FAO framework and the important chapters in it, in addition to the statement of the preparation of the draft, based on the National Development Plan, the government program and Iraq’s vision for 2030, and the meeting also discussed the notes raised in the meeting by the FAO, and adopted them to produce the draft in a form that meets the requirements of the next stage, in accordance with the objectives of the organization and sectoral ministries in activities (agricultural, environmental, economic), with the acceleration of completing the required procedures to ratify the draft framework, to have a developmental impact for the next five years, in addition to the approval of the draft framework.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Department of International Cooperation, Dr. Saher Abdulkazim Mahdi, representatives of the Advisory Board and relevant sectoral ministries, as well as a number of employees of the relevant departments of the Ministry
