The Telecommunications Sector in the Operations Room of the General Population and Housing Census held a meeting dedicated to following up on the work of the electronic census.
Headed by Mr. Bassem Abdel Karim Abdel Rasoul, Head of the Telecommunications Sector / Director General at the Ministry of Communications, and attended by the Head of the Census Operations Room / Head of the Central Statistics Organization, Dr. Diaa Awad, who reviewed the most important decisions in the field of census implementation, which is hoped to be implemented before the end of next year 2024, pointing to the support and government by providing the necessary amounts for implementation.
For his part, Mr. Bassem Abdul Karim stressed that the meeting is the ninth meeting of the sector, pointing to the achievements of the work by presenting a road map through the GIS Department and about remote areas and villages and the extent to which telecommunications companies cover mobile phones as the carrier medium for population and housing census data.
The meeting included extensive and focused discussions by the members of the sector in order to overcome difficulties and facilitate the work of the researcher in transferring data from the work site to the headquarters of the Authority.
