On Sunday, the Ministry of Planning held a joint meeting with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Central Bank of Iraq and the International Labor Organization (ILO) to discuss the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Project in Iraq under the chairmanship of the Director General of the International Cooperation Department in the Ministry, Dr. Saher Abdul Kazem Mahdi. The meeting witnessed the discussion of cooperation mechanisms, coordination and defining the roles of the entities related to the implementation of the project, as well as discussing its needs in the fields of financing and guarantee, as well as discussing the international support model provided by the ILO.
The meeting also discussed fixing the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs as the beneficiary of the project, identifying the other beneficiaries and fixing them within the model, as well as identifying the supporting entities with the need to define the roles of each entity within the international support model.
