The Ministry of Planning discussed details of the general framework of the five-year national development plan for the next five years 2022-2023.
This came during the first meeting held by the Macroeconomic and Private Sector Indicators Analysis Committee, with the participation of representatives of ministries and relevant authorities and a number of experts.
The Director General of the Department of Economic and Financial Policies, Dr. Sabah Jundi Mansour, said that the issue of macroeconomics is a major pillar of the national development plan, and that the overall framework of the plan in general is in its final stages of formulation and will be directed to the work of all committees and teams., indicating.: The meeting It included a discussion of a presentation by the Head of the Department of Macro Policies and Building Economic Models in the Department, Dr. Mohamed Shehab, on the evaluation of what has been implemented of the next plan, with regard to the axis of macroeconomics. Which included what was drawn, what was planned, and what was implemented, in addition to discussing a data set, which is being prepared to prepare a reality analysis paper on the basic variables of the macroeconomics. Presented by the Director of National Accounts at the Central Statistical Organization, Dr. Ziyad Tariq, adding, “The meeting discussed a paper analyzing the growth trend of the main constituent sectors of the output, which could draw a clear picture for us, what are the sectors, their general trends, and a time plan.” Depending on the year (1990 to 2021), it includes actual data and drawing a general trend for the data until 2027.
