Within the framework of its tasks to follow up the implementation of projects in the field in all governorates of Iraq, the field follow-up team from the Government Investment Department in the Ministry of Planning was implemented. Today, Sunday, a field visit to the project of Ur archaeological city in the city of Nasiriyah in Dhi Qar Governorate, to find out the stages of progress of work and the rates of completion in it.A statement by the ministry: The project is one of the strategic and vital projects in the province and serves tourists from inside and outside Iraq.
The statement pointed out that the project includes the establishment of infrastructure for the city represented by sewage works, and lifting station, As well as the construction of the main road located in the city center with a length of (700 meters) and a width of (12 meters).
The statement indicated that the completion rate of the project reached (90%), It is expected to be completed by the end of this year, pointed out that the project will contribute to the advancement of the tourism reality of Dhi Qar Governorate.
