The envoy of Prime Minister Mohammed Shi’a Al-Sudani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Dr. Mohammed Ali Tamim, met on Thursday in the Libyan capital Tripoli with Mr. Al-Tahir Al-Baour, in charge of the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in the presence of the Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Libya, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sahaf.
During the meeting. The Minister delivered an official message from H.E. President of the Republic Dr. Abdellatif Jamal Rashid to H.E. Mohamed al-Manfi, Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council. An official invitation to attend the Arab summit to be held in Baghdad on May 17.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Libya. and means of enhancing joint cooperation in various fields. In addition to discussing issues of common interest and coordination between the two countries within the framework of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Arab summit.
The meeting comes in the context of the Iraqi government’s diplomatic efforts to ensure broad Arab participation in the upcoming summit. This strengthens solidarity and joint Arab action to face regional and international challenges.
It is worth mentioning that the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Dr. Mohamed Ali Tamim. Has delivered invitations to the Baghdad summit to the leaders of Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia in addition to Libya
