The Ministry of Planning stated that the specialized follow-up teams in the ministry carried out a field visit to the project to develop and rehabilitate Al-Numan Hospital in Baghdad, with a capacity of (75) beds. Explaining that the project has almost completely stopped since September last year due to the failure to issue spare orders related to changing designs, plans and some other implementation clauses. Indicating that the project is still pending with the Baghdad governorate until now, and it has not been decided upon. Indicating that the completion rate reached 69%. And on a land area of (1400) square meters, The project is to construct an expansion building for Al-Numan Hospital with a capacity of (75) beds. This is for the purpose of increasing clinical expansion and filling the governorate’s need for health services. As well as supporting medical colleges by presenting educational lectures, explaining that the building consists of (7) floors with a basement. And it is implemented in two phases (the first phase), which is the basis for the expansion, and includes the basement with the first three floors, while the (second phase) includes the construction of the rest of the floors. The statement noted that one of the problems that hinder the completion of the project is the hospital’s small area and the overlap with residential buildings. In addition to the absence of a heavy water treatment plant within the approved designs.
