The Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control of the Ministry of Planning announced on Monday for its success in approving the quality management system in accordance with the international standard for standardization (ISO 9001: 2015).
Eng. Ban Ibrahim Nowruz, Director General of the Standardization Department at the Organization, said, the approval of this system came with self-efforts by the employees of the Standards department, a divistion of the department. Indicating that its application has become a distinctive sign for the work of the Standards Department, as the first formation in the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control and the Ministry of Planning; It reflects that the Specifications Section performs its tasks in the fields of Iraqi standard specifications and guidelines, and its endeavor to obtain a quality certificate according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001: 2015).
Ms. Nowruz indicated that the application of this system came to achieve the mission of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control in “protecting consumer health and safety and intellectual property rights, preparing, developing and monitoring specifications and standards, and consolidating and disseminating the concepts of quality and conformity assessment to enhance and support the national economy.” Coinciding with the directives of the Prime Minister to “work in accordance with the total quality management system in the internal environment of the departments,” and services provided to citizens.
