 The functions of the Department of Social Development Policies

A. The proposal of the  overall objectives and indicators for social development programs for the future.

B. Follow-up to the implementation of social development programs in coordination with the relevant authorities as much as it is related to the goals and social indicators. 

C. Establishment of a database and indicators for social development, laws and regulations related to social security, children and young people and women.

D. study proposals concerned relating to social development and included in the development programs in coordination with the technical departments in the ministry. 

 The functions of the Department of Education policies

A. Study the supply of graduates according to the levels of scientific disciplines and principal and subsidiary organs.

B. The preparation of a plan the needs of the ministries and departments not associated with a Ministry of the vacations , inside and outside Iraq.

C. Follow-up to the implementation of the plan and the needs of the ministries of the vacations , inside and outside Iraq.

D. the preparation of research and specialized studies in the field of education sector.

E. The Opinion and advice in the development of  postgraduate studies departments.

  The functions of the Department of employment policies and labor

A. The preparation of medium-term plans of the workforce at the aggregate level, sectoral and spatial developments in the light of the  general goals and directions of the state in coordination with the concerned.

B. Develop policies for the workforce in the public  and private sectors in coordination with the relevant authorities.

C. Follow-up to the needs of workers in the ministries and departments not associated with a Ministry and compared with the output of education.

D. An annual study of the reality of the movement operating in the Ministry of Planning.

E. An annual study of the reality of the movement operating in the ministries and departments not associated with a ministry.

F. Research and studies pertaining to the labor market in both its public and private sectors.
