Community mobilization teams of the Social Fund branches in the governorates of Nineveh, Dhi Qar, and Diwaniyah, continue their visits to the included villages
The past two days witnessed more activities and field trips for the community mobilization teams, in the governorates that were covered by the Fund's support in the second phase, which are Anbar, Diwaniyah, Dhi Qar, and Nineveh.
In Nineveh Governorate, the work of the second community mobilization continued in its field trips to the governorate's villages covered by the Social Fund for Development projects.
This was stated by the director of the Fund's branch in Nineveh Governorate, Ahmed Nazim, explaining that the team had made a visit to the village of Shaquli, which is affiliated with the Hamdaniya district, indicating that the visit was joint and with high-level cooperation between the staff of the Fund’s branch and the community mobilization team from the departments of Statistics and Planning of Nineveh, adding During the visit, the team distributed nomination forms for selecting the village’s candidates for membership in the Projects Selection Committee, announcing that the first local committee elections will take place on January 1, 2021 in the village of Ali Rush, followed by the village of Shaquli at a date to be determined later.
As for Dhi Qar, the director of the Social Fund for Development branch in the governorate, Alaa Shati, revealed that the community mobilization team ended its work by visiting the village of "Al-Khalifa" in Al-Nasr District, north of Dhi Qar, and Shati conveyed the extent of the great suffering that the people of the village suffer, due to the lack of a school Elementary, after stopping work in the school building that was hoped to be completed earlier, indicating that students there face difficult conditions, due to low temperatures, and the lack of basic requirements for the educational process.
In Diwaniyah, the Fund's community mobilization team activities continued.
This was announced by the director of the fund’s branch, Ghaleb Rady, and added that his team visited the village of Al-Bu Marjan, affiliated to the “Nefer” district, and distributed among the village’s residents the form for selecting candidates for the community committee in the village, and starting the voting process.
