The Ministry of Planning discussed with the European Union project for the development of skills-based training model in the oil and gas sector

The Ministry of Planning held with the delegation of the European Union held its second meeting to discuss the draft of the development of skills-based training model in the oil and gas sector (ejadaa), which is one of the important projects supportive of the oil and gas industry in Iraq. The presence of technical Undersecretary Dr. Maher Hammad Johan and the Ambassador of the European Union, Mr. Ramon Bleco, as well as the Deputy Oil Minister, Mr. Fayyad Hassan, and director general of the department of international cooperation, Ms. Aida Atto, also representatives of ministries and relevant. The undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning, Dr. Maher Hammad Johan : This is the second meeting of the steering committee supervising the draft Master (on the development of skills-based training in the oil and gas sector in Iraq). He added that this project on the development of programs to train staff through capacity building training courses according to the advanced curricula the adoption of global standards for the oil and gas sector, and the public and private sectors. He pointed out that this project is the beginning of the survey, the results of which have guided us ask our efforts toward real working groups, including the training of personnel in the field (Manual product), pointing out that this program is important technical skills.

The Ambassador of the European Union, Mr. Ramon, that (ejadaa) project is one of the projects funded by the European Union, which is part of the projects which we support in the development of the vocational and technical education and the development of the public sector, he said, adding that the project aims to build training capacity and Iraqis working in the field of oil and gas in order to create new job opportunities for them in this important sector.
