The Minister of Planning, Dr. Nuri Sabah Al-Dulaimi, announced today, Monday, the launch of the pre-delivery inspection program 2022-2020 in a contract with 4 international companies, with the aim of protecting the Iraqi consumer and public health and the environment through mechanisms for evaluating the conformity of imported goods and products with the approved international and Iraqi specifications, and directly related By the consumer.
Dr. Nuri Al-Dulaimi added in his speech during the joint symposium to announce the companies licensed to implement the program, that the choice fell on four companies that are among the most accurate companies in their work according to international and Iraqi standards, after months of study of the offers of all companies specialized in inspection and standardization processes.
Noting that the program that was contracted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control will include the examination of 961 different industrial goods, pointing out that the companies that were contracted with are of Emirati, British, German and Italian nationalities.
To that, the Minister of Planning stressed that the launch of the inspection program prior to supply came in conjunction with the resumption of monitoring, checking and verification procedures in all border crossings throughout the day by the staff of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control.
This symposium was attended by the Chairman of the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control and gentlemen general managers in the device, and a number of gentlemen representatives of international companies that were contracted with, and a number of gentlemen traders, importers and Iraqi businessmen.
