Minister of Planning discusses with French Ambassador ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries

Minister of Planning Dr. Nuri Sabah Al-Dulaimi received on Tuesday the French Ambassador to Iraq, Bruno Hubert, and his accompanying delegation. They discussed means of enhancing bilateral relations in various fields.

Dr. Nouri Al-Dulaimi, during the meeting, the investment opportunities that specialized French companies can contribute in all of Iraq, stressing the importance of the contribution of French companies in the availability of jobs and the development of Iraqi expertise, praising the work carried out by French companies in all provinces, The French government to assist Iraq in its efforts to stabilize and rebuild.

The meeting also discussed providing all facilities to foreign companies, and the implementation of a number of investment projects in the central and southern provinces, reconstruction projects in the city of Mosul, the rehabilitation of Mosul airport, and the suspension train project in Baghdad.

For his part, Ambassador "Hubert" confirmed his government's support for efforts to restore recovery and stability in Iraq, pointing out the importance of the facilities and cooperation measures directed by the Minister of Planning during the meeting in the implementation of more vital investment projects across the provinces.

The meeting discussed the governance of financial activities and the provision of possible means of support in various projects, especially the investment program in the public sector, debt management, financial transfer between the center and the governorates, and control of taxes to enhance revenues.
