The Minister of Planning, Dr. Salman Al-Jumaili, inaugurated the Project of Integration (Good Governance and Performance Improvement in Iraq), which was established by the Ministry in cooperation with the US Agency for International Development to reform the financial administration in Iraq and improve the delivery of basic public services. Between the Ministry of Planning and the US Agency for International Development, adding that this project falls within several other projects carried out by the Ministry in cooperation with the US Agency, indicating that the project of Takamul comes to reform financial management and improve the delivery of public services basis E, praising the efforts of the US side to support development in Iraq.
The Director General of the Department of Public Contracts in the Ministry of Planning, Dr. Azhar Hussein, said: The project integration (good governance and improve performance in Iraq). The project will be the beginning of the implementation of the proposed plan of action in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development to develop and reform the contracting system in Iraq to keep pace with what reached the developed countries in the field of contracts, indicating that the work plan will include three axes Namely, the development of standard documents for tenders for SMEs as well as the project of e-bag for government contracting / the first phase regarding the field survey of the electronic infrastructure of government contracting agencies in ministries and Provinces and departments not associated with the Ministry .vdila partnership contracts between the public and private sectors.
"The project is funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID)," he said. "This project aims at working with Iraqi governments, such as ministries and governorates, to develop the capabilities of employees in various fields, Project management, decentralization and many other fields, noting that the project provides service to the Contracts Department in particular and work with them to prepare and issue standard documents at the level of small and medium, as well as the preparation of trainers and training courses with either the central government or P Kurdistan Regional Government in collaboration with the Government Contracts Department at the Ministry of Planning.
