The Minister of Planning, Dr. Salman Jumaili, announced the addition of 15 billion dinars to the province of Najaf on the directives of the Prime Minister and the decisions of the Council of Ministers include meeting the demands of the provinces through providing financial cover for the implementation of service projects in addition to the previous allocations of 43 billion dinars.
Dr. Al-Jumaili said during his meeting with Najaf Governor, Mr. Luay al-Yasiri, that the financial allocations that have been announced will be launched during the current week for the provinces of Basra, Dhi Qar, Muthanna and Najaf after completion of all procedures and fixing the drainage doors and projects to be financed from these allocations. To complete the requirements for the launch of allocations to the other provinces and in the coming days to come, pointing out that these amounts are additional allocations for the allocations stipulated in the budget law.
He called on the local government in Najaf and the rest of the provinces to redouble their efforts to ensure the implementation of projects in order to meet the demands of the people and the provision of basic services. He stressed that the disbursement of these funds would cause economic movement in the development situation of the provinces and thus provide more employment opportunities, adding that the additional allocations will be allocated to the electricity sector in order to address the bottlenecks in transport and distribution and in the field of water and sanitation, roads and bridges, health and education, water resources, youth and sports and poverty alleviation projects and others.
The governor of Najaf, Mr. Luay al-Yasiri, called to deal with his province financially in a way different from the rest of the provinces, noting that Najaf owes annually millions of visitors from different parts of the world, which is a huge pressure and momentum on service projects which reflected negatively on the level of services provided to the people of the province. Adding that there are a number of important projects that are stalled and need financial allocations are not large because they have very high completion rates, including hospitals, bridges, tunnels, water and sanitation projects, schools and others, praising at the same time the efforts of the federal government has resulted in a package of decisions T and the ministries of planning and finance translated into practical procedures through the identification of projects and the provision of financial allocations and allow the circumstances of the country .. He expressed his hope that the province of Najaf and other provinces a significant change in the service reality during the coming period after the launch of financial allocations, the local government has mobilized all its efforts and capabilities to follow up the execution of the projects according to the financial allocations and the time limits set for them.
