The Minister of Planning / acting Minister of Commerce, Dr. Salman Al-Jumaili, met in Seoul on the sidelines of the World Conference on Infrastructure Cooperation, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to South Korea, Mr. Badr Mohammad Al-Awadi. The two sides expressed the need to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields, is a good opportunity to open horizons for joint cooperation and overcoming obstacles. A statement issued by the Information Office in the Ministry of Planning, Dr. Al-Jumaili stressed that Iraq is a promising and important market, possessing the technical, human and economic capabilities which makes it eligible for export. The obstacles that prevent the export of materials and products of Iraqi origin to the Kuwaiti market in order to achieve balance in the trade relationship between the two countries and achieve common interest. Stressing the need to work for marketing and improving the business environment between the two countries, so as to attract the investment and economic opportunities on his part. Kuwaiti Ambassador, Mr. Badr Al-Awadi, said that his country is exerting every effort to invest the geographical location of Iraq in order to open the doors of trade exchange through international markets in Asia and Europe. And that his country is fully open to Iraq and seeks to sign agreements for trade, technical and economic cooperation with him. Adding that he greatly appreciates Iraq's human, economic and technical assets that qualify him to be one of the leading economies. Stressing that the opportunity is available to achieve fruitful economic integration and strategic building between Iraq and Kuwait. The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Iraq in Seoul, Mr. Haider Al-Barrak.
